If you are trying to maintain balance between different assets in your portfolio this calculator can show you how much of each asset you need to sell or buy, if you need to draw down the portfolio by a certain amount, or if you want to invest a certain amount.
The green or red box in the "Buy/sell" column indicates much of each asset should be sold or bought depending on the current price.
Make sure the desired ratios all add up to exactly 100 % or you will get nonsense values out.
If you prefer to only buy or only sell you can set the behavior as required. What this means in practice is that the portfolio won't immediately balance but will eventually converge to the desired ratios.
The "Apply" button executes the suggested investment. Note: the remainder disappears.
State is saved in the query string/URL so you can save the URL when you are finished and return to it at a later time. Because of this there is also a rudimentary "undo"/"redo" functionality with the "Forward" and "Backward" buttons in your browser. Here is a link to an existing portfolio.
